About Me

My name is David Wilkinson and I offer manual driving lessons in Milton Keynes, Newport Pagnell, Cranfield and the surrounding areas. Your local driving instructor.

My lessons are in a 2025 Renault Clio. It has a manual gearbox. It is the perfect car to learn to drive in. It is easy to drive, fun and economical. I am also happy to accompany learners in their own car if preferred. 

My pupils usually go on to take their driving tests at either Bletchley or Bedford driving test centres. I have extensive knowledge of the areas and the test route locations.

My journey to becoming a driving instructor began in 2021. I completed my driving instructor training with driveJohnsons in Milton Keynes. A superb and very welcoming driving school. I am proud to still have a driveJohnsons franchise.

I set up Wilko's Wheels Driver Training in 2023 and have been receiving lots of fantastic reviews! Check out my reviews page!

I love my job. I am passionate about helping people and changing lives. 

My job is to coach and develop an individuals knowledge, attitude and skill. Giving them the ability to drive legally and as safely as possible on all road types and in all traffic conditions. 

Learning to drive is not just about passing a test!

In 2026 I was thrilled to have made it into the UK's TOP 100 driving instructors at the Intelligent Instructor awards. There are approximately 47,000 registered driving instructors in the UK so this is something I am super proud of.  Thank you to all my pupils who nominated me.
